The total Spain online gambling revenue stood at €410.3 million in the second quarter of 2025. This marked an 18.6% jump from 2024. Compared to earlier months, the quarterly growth was softer at 2.8%, but overall deposits hit a massive €1.35 billion, up 23.7% year-on-year. Withdrawals increased by 28.9%, showing high player engagement.

Casino Games Lead the Market

Casino games made up 52.7% of Spain online gambling revenue in 2025 Q2, pulling in €216.4 million. The segment grew 26% versus last year and 6.5% over the previous quarter. Slots proved most popular, jumping 33.6% annually. Other highlights include blackjack rising 9.5%, live roulette up 5.6%, and conventional roulette seeing a modest increase.

Sports betting held 41.8% of revenue at €171.4 million. Year-on-year, this marked 18.2% growth, even though results by bet type varied. Pre-match betting surged 24.6%, while live betting dropped by 33.2%, reflecting changing player interests.

Poker faced a challenging quarter, with revenue down 25.2% from 2024 to €19.1 million. Tournament poker dropped 32% quarterly and 37.1% annually. Cash poker improved 19.8% year-on-year, but slipped 6% against the previous quarter. Bingo remained the smallest vertical, earning only €3.4 million and seeing a 6.4% annual decline.

Marketing Strategies and Player Growth

Marketing spending hit €164.5 million in Q2 2025, a 37.1% rise over last year. Of this, €82.64 million went towards promotions, which played a major role in drawing new players. Advertising saw €62.91 million, affiliates €13.99 million, and sponsorships €4.96 million. New account registrations reached 504,853, up 11.7% year-on-year, and active monthly accounts jumped 21%.

Industry Operators and Welcome Bonuses

Spain now features 77 licensed gaming operators, with 64 providing active services in Q2 2025. This includes 42 for sports betting and 52 for casino transactions, supporting the diverse preferences of Spanish players.
