Blast and GamingMalta Partnership

Blast has made a multi-year deal with GamingMalta. GamingMalta is a non-profit group supported by Malta’s government. This Malta esports partnership will help grow esports on the island. Malta will host at least nine big esports events. These include games like Counter-Strike and Dota 2.

New Blast Esports Hub in Malta

Blast will build a permanent esports studio and office in Malta. This hub will have a team to run events and broadcasts. GamingMalta’s logo will appear in all Blast Premier and Slam broadcasts. Millions of fans worldwide watch these events.

Helping Local Esports Grow

Blast will also support local esports projects. This includes programs at universities and grassroots groups. The goal is to help players, content creators, and esports workers. Malta’s Vision 2050 plan supports digital growth and youth opportunities. Minister Silvio Schembri said this partnership fits well with that plan.

Boosting Malta’s Economy and Tourism

The esports events will bring more tourists to Malta. Hotels, restaurants, and businesses will benefit. One big event, Blast Premier Bounty S2, will have 32 Counter-Strike teams. They will compete for a $500,000 prize. This will put Malta on the global esports map.

Blast CEO Robbie Douek is excited to bring esports events and a new studio to Malta. GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti said this deal will help Malta become a top esports hub. It will also create chances for new esports talent.
