Macau Casino Revenue 2025 Jumps 19% in June on Visitor Surge

Macau Casino Revenue 2025: June Sees Big Growth

Macau’s casino revenue 2025 saw a strong jump in June. Gross gaming revenue hit MOP21.06bn (US$2.6bn), up 19% from last year. This is almost as high as May’s record, showing steady recovery for the city’s casinos. The boost came from more visitors and bigger bets, helped by popular concerts and live events.

Concerts and Premium Play Boost Revenue

Jacky Cheung’s concerts at Galaxy Arena drew big crowds. More people came to Macau, and many spent more at the tables. Citigroup reported a 16% rise in premium players on opening night. High-value guests increased their average bets by 36%. Entertainment events clearly brought more action to the casinos.

First Half of 2025: Upward Trend Continues

From January to June, Macau’s total gaming revenue reached MOP118.77bn. This is 4.4% higher than the same time last year. The monthly average is MOP19.79bn, which beats the government’s revised forecast. Earlier this year, the government lowered its target from MOP240bn to MOP228bn. Recent results show Macau is back on track.

Visitor Numbers Almost Back to Normal

May brought 3.4 million visitors to Macau. That’s 99% of pre-Covid numbers. June’s full data isn’t out yet, but early signs look good. June’s revenue is 88% of what Macau made in June 2019. The city is getting closer to full recovery.

Big Changes Coming to Macau Casinos

By the end of 2025, Macau will phase out satellite casinos. Only main operators will run casinos. This move should make the industry stronger and more focused on quality.

What’s Next for Macau Gaming?

Experts expect more growth in the second half of the year. Holidays, more live shows, and steady tourism will help. For more updates, check our iGaming news and read about skill game changes.
